Learning how to: 1- Make a round and cylindrical shaped bead. 2- Pull stringers to decorate the petals and the vines and leaves. 3- Create Floral Beads with the components you created.
Afternoon - Organic Beads

New bead shapes, manipulating the materiality of glass to create expressive beads organic in design.Organic beads are focal, and take center stage. You will be working on: 1-making componsents such as encased stringer, latticino and using frits. 2- Creating flattened shapes as your base bead. 3- Embellishing and decorating the bead via the components you have made. 4- Seeing how it can be incorporated into a finished piece.
Afternoon - Gravity Beads

Beadmaking in glass is a little bit of physics, chemistry and art. Rotation, parallel handling , gravity and heat all come into play. Particularly in this technique, whereby all the above takes place and in particular gravity. You will learn how to manipulate the glass with heat and gravity to create beautiful striations and shifts in color and patterns.
Afternoon - Ripple Beads

Born out of the ripples seen on water surfaces and the mesmerising pattens created in nature. Lubna considers this one of her favorite beads to make. You will make a set of beads that are exciting to make as you see the design emerge. 1- You will learn how to create new shapes and forms. 2- Dot placement and heat control. 3- How different colors of glass react to this technique.
Afternoon - Fossil Beads

Observing nature from fossils and remnants of the past we will be working to create elements that evoke fossils in a contemporary approach. This workshop will encourage you to: 1- Look at techniques to create that weathered feel by choice of glass and colors. 2- Work with blown glass shards. 3- Work with frits in various methods to add depth. 4- Create a Fossil Bead
Afternoon (Friday) - Sandscape Beads

Expansive horizons, and the colors and hues of the surrounding space in Diriyah inspired these beads. The Sandscape Bead will focus on a palette specially selected along with a technique of applying stringers that allows for expressive outcomes. 1-You will gain knowledge on new shapes that can be created. 2-Techniques of applying decoration 3- Creating a set of three beads
